I don’t read that many series, but occasionally I’ll get pulled in. There are a few I’m reading on and off, and a couple I wouldn’t mind starting. And then there are several I’d like to re-read if I ever find the time! Here they are.
Series I’d Like to Catch Up On (Still In Progress)
Series I’d Like to Start
Series I’d Like to Finish
Series I’d Like to Re-Read
That’s it for me! I’m not a huge series reader, so this was a bit of a stretch for me! Are any of my few picks on your list this week? Which series are you addicted to?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
I’ve not read the Agatha Raisin novels, but I binged all of the currently released episodes of the TV show this year and absolutely loved them. I hope there are more!

I mean they’re not exactly high-brow or complex or anything, but they’re super engaging, fast-paced and really quick to read! I love the show as well. Not exactly like the books, but gets the general vibe right!
Ferrante almost made my list, but I decided I needed to try her books before comitting. Stephanie Plum is a favorite of mine.
Yeah, that’s fair! I’ve tried twice and so far haven’t stuck, so who knows if I’ll ever actually make it through! I’ve read the first Plum and it was entertaining, so I’d like to give her more of a shot at some point!
I don’t read many series either, but I’d love to read more of Anne of Green Gables. I’d also like to read My Brilliant Friend.
Yeah, I really have no excuse for not finishing Anne! Particularly as a Canadian. I’ve tried My Brilliant Friend twice but it didn’t stick. I plan to try it on audio again at some point and see if that goes better!
I hope that you enjoy reading these when the opportunity presents itself!

Thanks! I’m slowly chipping away at a couple of them!
I hope you can find the time to fit some of these in soon.
Me too! I expect I’ll make progress on at least one or two in the near future!
I loved Anne of Green Gables when I was a kid, and my kids really like The Bad Guys series! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Yes, so did I! I’ve read the first five books I think – some of them multiple times – I’ve just never gotten far into her adult life, so one day I need to find out what happens!
I read Death of La Venice this summer and… was so disappointed! I haven’t continued, because it was just… ok. The blurb sounded great, and there are some very nice descriptions of Venetian life, but meh. Nothing about the mystery was a surprise. I hope you will like it better!
Yeah, I tried the first chapter or two and it didn’t pull me in. My parents have each read a bunch of them though and both say they do get better, it’s just getting through those first few to find out, I guess! I don’t know if I will or not.
I forgot about Craig Johnson’s Longmire series; that’s on my TBR. And I read a lot of Michael Connelly – kind of skip around his various series. Happy reading as you tackle these books!

I watched the series and so the first book was hard to get into as I sort of knew what was happening already. I don’t know why, I just haven’t managed to really get pulled into them yet. I’ve heard so many great things about them though! Yes, I read the first few Bosch books a couple of decades ago, but forgot them. Then recently I read the Ballard series (all that are published). When I ran out of those I went back and re-read the first Bosch book again, and I’m hoping to move on with the series as the mood strikes!
I’m not a series reader either. I used to be when I was younger. I loved The Thursday Murder Club though. I’ve got The Bullet That Missed for Christmas.
Have a great week!

Yeah, same. I’m trying to find some that I can get back into, but not sure about it! I also like jumping around between different authors and genres because I feel like people would get bored if I reviewed each book in a series over and over! I really liked The Thursday Murder Club. I liked the characters and that most of the outcome wasn’t what I guessed! I love it when books can surprise me. I hope you enjoy The Bullet!
The Anne series is really good. Enjoy!

It is!!!! I’ve read up to her college years (Windy Poplars, I think), but I’ve never managed to read the books that move into her adulthood. I don’t know why, as I loved the earlier books. Maybe it’s a mental block at seeing her grow up because I love her as a kid? Who knows! I’m hoping my kid might like them in the next few years, so failing all else maybe I’ll make it through the rest as read-alouds!
“If I ever find the time…” That’s the refrain of all of us addicted to reading isn’t it?
YES YES YES YES. If I could like slow down time or something so I could read a few extra hours every day I’d be thrilled with that as a super power!
I love Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch and Craig Johnson’s Walt Longmire, and I really need to start Donna Leon’s series.
My Dad loves both of those as well, and he’s like 20 books into the Donna Leons! I think he said the series starts a little slow, but picks up and he’s enjoying them, in case that helps as a recommendation!
The Thursday Murder Club series is great – still got the most recent one to enjoy!
These are the series I mentioned this week!
I really liked the first one! Are there two or three out now? If there are three, did you like the second one as much as the first?
