I get most of my book recommendations online. Wether it’s from a BookTube channel, another blog, or indeed from someone who has left a nugget of literary gold in a comment, the online book community is a rich repository of great books I’ve yet to discover. It’s hard to remember exactly where I heard of many of the books on my TBR or that I’ve read, but I do remember which I discovered thanks to online sources. Here are a few of them.
And a few books that are currently on my TBR thanks to you guys:
As you can see, there is no shortage of books on my shelves that have been recommended by or brought to my attention because of the wonderful bookish folks right here, on the interwebs. They came from all kinds of online sources, but without access to the internet I likely wouldn’t have come across most of these. And, if I’m being honest, most of these I came across multiple times, which is why they ended up being ones I either read or currently have on my TBR. So thank you all!
What about you guys? Have you read any of these? Which favourite books did you find thanks to the internet book community? Do you have any books you’d like to recommend to me?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
The Bandit Queens is one I’m pretty sure I added to my blog because of TTT as well, in fact like 90% of all the books I add to my TBR these days are off recommendations from other bloggers. Ten Steps To Nanette is also on my TBR (thanks for reminding me that I need to get to that one!). I’ve watched the film version of A Man Called Ove (the recent remake with Tom Hanks) which was really great and the TV adaptation of Heartstopper which I love, but haven’t read either of the respective books. I see The House In The Cerulean Sea, at this point I feel like one of the only bloggers who hasn’t read it yet!

I am really looking forward to The Bandit Queens because I feel like every time I hear someone whose taste I share talking about it it’s a rave! All the others you mentioned are ones I’d definitely recommend. I’m actually kind of jealous that you still have them (particularly The House in the Cerulean Sea) to look forward to and discover for the first time! This made me think how much I’d love it if they did adapt it to film or TV someday. It would be great!
Really want to read, The Diary of a Bookseller
Oh it was definitely a good one, particularly for book lovers!
A Man Called Ove is one of my favorite reads!

Oh I loved that book so much more than I expected to!
Nice work. Read This, Please made me laugh–I’ll look into it.
It was a good read, if not always the easiest!
I think I was convinced about A MAN CALLED OVE because so many book bloggers were raving about it. It didn’t seem like my kind of book, but now I think I’m going to love it when I do finally get to it.
Happy TTT!

Yes, same. I had a copy that I unhauled a few years ago because I never got to it, but then it seemed to pop up everywhere again, and I borrowed the audiobook from the library out of curiosity. So glad I did!
I should have put really good, actually on my list for want to read because of TTT, too! I forgot about it.
Haha! Yeah, there are a bunch I should have included as well and forgot! There are so many!
A great list. I can’t remember where I’ve seen my books either so have expanded the prompt to all social media!
Have a great week

Definitely a good call. This is sort of a combo as well!
You have a lot of good books coming your way – Project Hail Mary and The House in the Cerulean Sea are excellent!
Oh I agree! I loved those two!
Such a good list. I always keep an eye on your list of books since I know that I tend to like the same books as you. Guess I’ll have to look for the Hitler book.
Yes, I have definitely gotten some great recommendations from you! The Hitler book is the first in a trilogy. I liked the first two but didn’t finish the third. The main thing that attracted me to them was that the author wrote some of our favourite kid’s books that we’ve been reading to my kid for years – The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Mog the Forgetful Cat. So when I found out she’d written chapter books for older audiences I just had to give them a try. I’m glad I did, but I definitely don’t think they’ll be everyone’s cup of tea, and as I said, the first was definitely the best!
