Just Shelved
I enjoyed this one – nothing amazing or spectacular, but well paced, interesting characters, I wanted to know what was going to happen and it came together well enough at the end (though I won’t say how!) I don’t think it’ll stick with me vividly or in detail, but entertaining while I was in it!
Currently Reading
I’m still reading Brit(ish), which is still very good. I started Good Night, Irene as it’s another WWII book, but honestly it’s not really grabbing me. It’s about the women who worked for the Salvation Army on the front lines driving concession vans to provide tea, coffee and doughnuts and generally keep up morale. There’s a fair amount about how they’re expected to behave before and during their time with the Salvation Army, and more than I’m interested in about their outfits and flirting with various men around them. I’m not saying it’s not a good book – it is – just that I don’t think this is the perspective for me. We’ll see though, because the part I just got to is one where they’re thrown into some action and have to learn how to protect themselves, so maybe it’ll get a little more hands-on and less making tea? We shall see. Just started Eight Perfect Murders today, so only a few chapters into it so far. I’m interested, but withholding judgment for now! Wildful is a sweet graphic novel that I’ve only just started, but seems to be about a city kid who follows her dog through a broken fence into a forest and begins to discover the wonders of nature.

Same books, mostly, as last week that I still have out of the library, and a few more I borrowed since. As usual, no idea when (or if) I’ll get to these, or if I’ll end up finding something else to read entirely! Let me know if you’ve read any of these and would (or wouldn’t) recommend it!
