Another busy week during which reading wasn’t at the top of my list! It’s been a week. Not terrible, but a little full on. I spent an extra few hours driving to prepare for an unfamiliar and busy route to a field trip my kid was going on, which was super stressful as it involved bumper-to-bumper traffic as 5 lanes merged into 2…. on a bridge. Not my READ MORE

Not the best reading week this week – it was a bit of an emotional one. We had a family member in surgery (went well and all is fine) which was a bit preoccupying. We also had an earthquake on Friday not too far from us, and we felt it. There was a loud bang READ MORE

I’ve had a decent week, not as much reading, but enough that I finished a book or two. I (as usual) left my Valentine’s Day preparations for my kiddo until the last minute, so I had a couple of late nights trying to finish some crochet and sewing stuff! I finished 3 out of 4 READ MORE

It’s been a busy week, mostly because my kid has been home from school all week since it’s been snowing a lot! School was canceled for a couple of days, then I wasn’t comfortable driving (still a new driver). We did have a wonderful dragon day inspired by Erin and Wyatt at Still Life, With READ MORE

Another up and down week, but what other kind are there? My kid is sick again, but it’s just a cold and is getting better. I had my eyes checked this week which lost me a day of reading because the dilation always gives me achy eyes and head for a full day afterwards and READ MORE

I haven’t gotten as much reading done this week, not really sure why. I’ve been watching more TV than last week and feeling pretty tired and low on energy. The end of the week brought a tweaked back, which isn’t a new experience, but is difficult each time it happens. Mostly it’s just a matter READ MORE

Another week where I actually did get some reading done! And I enjoyed all three of the books I finished. Not feeling fully immersed in anything currently, but hoping I’ll find something tomorrow that’ll get its hooks in! Most of the weekend was spend on school work, so didn’t get much done over the weekend. READ MORE

Surprisingly, it’s been a very good reading week! I thought I’d be too busy/tired to read much, but I was lucky in picking a couple of books that immediately hooked me, so I was reading in any spare moment before I even noticed it! Well, we made it through Christmas week (if you celebrate it too), so congratulations to all of us, particularly the parents who had so much organizing and preparing to do that you feel like someone gave you a lobotomy when you weren’t looking.   It’s been another busy week and, as usual, I’ve not had much time for reading. But my mum was here to visit, and we went to the library with my kid and they each found something to read, came home, and instantly curled up on the sofa to start reading. They’ve pretty much kept READ MORE
