I thought about going into specific music, but man, that would take over the whole list! I included the Foo Fighters because not only are they one of the best live shows I've ever been to (if not THE best life show), but I read a book about Dave that I really enjoyed and the band that made me really respect their philosophy, and I loved the Sound City Movie.
But I have pretty wide and varied musical tastes. I love conscious and old skool hip hop (older Common – back in the days when he went by Common Sense – and A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, Atmosphere, De La Soul, Pharcyde… the list goes on and on), 90s rock and brit pop, some jazz and classical, alternative rock… and so much more.
Some great groups and artists that come to mind (other than those already mentioned) are: The Tragically Hip, Sneaker Pimps, Chase & Status, Gorillaz, Pearl Jam, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, BB King, Kings of Leon, G Love and Special Sauce, Black Keys, Shihad (also known as Pacifier), that Pharell Willaims song “Happy”, Beastie Boys, Florence & the Machine, Incubus, Latyrx, The Roots… I should probably stop there. But there are a lot more. This is also a much longer answer than you wanted… after books, music is the best thing to bring up if you want me to ramble on forever!
I love people watching. If I ever go to Munich I'll search out the palace of justice and think of you as I observe the city wandering by! It sounds amazing.

I wonder what music would make your world stop. Explain! 🙂
I do find people watching very enjoyable. Sometimes I'll go to the old city of Munich and just sit down by the fountains in front of the palace of justice and people-watch, imagining what each person must think, where they are coming from, where they are going… and how life in the city and its inhabitants must have looked hundreds of years ago!
