I had a hard time sticking with one book this week, the result being that while I did do some reading, I only finished one book. But it was a great one!
Just shelved:
This is the third Angie Thomas book I’ve read, and I have to say, the woman cannot go wrong. This book is actually a prequel to her best-known book (and film), The Hate U Give. This is the story of her father during his teenage years and lessons he learns the hard way. But it’s also about growing up fast, being responsible for choices you’ve made, and not giving up on building a better life even when every card in the deck is stacked against you.
Currently Reading:
As usual, I have way too many books on the go. But I’m enjoying all of them and am hoping to find the time to get through at least a few of them this week!
Up next:
Both The House in the Cerulean Sea and Project Hail Mary have been recommended to me over and over again in the last few weeks, so I felt like I just had to move them up the old TBR! I’m excited to give them both a try… if and when I ever get through the books I’m currently reading! I am also still planning to read the other two books that have been on my TBR for weeks – you know how I am with TBRs. I never stick to them. Not the books’ fault.
What about you guys? What did you read this week? Have you read any of the books on my list this week?
A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
