It’s been a few weeks since I remembered to do a Monday post, so I’m going to just include everything I’ve read since the last one. Here we go:
Just Shelved:
Most of these I read for the BookTube Prize, so I can’t talk about them until my current round is over on May 30th. This Is Going to Hurt and Q’s Legacy weren’t, so I can discuss those. The former I read because I’d been watching the TV show and enjoying it. It’s funny, but also very serious. It shows the cracks in the NHS (public health system in the UK), and that was before COVID. It’s much worse now. It also highlights the importance of humour in dealing with impossible situations, particularly medical ones. I think I would have liked having Kay as my doctor, because my very dark jokes might not have shocked him quite as much! The latter was a re-read for me, and just as good as the first time.

Both of these books are also BookTube Prize books, so I don’t have anything I can say about them yet!
That’s it for my last few weeks. What about you guys? Read any good books lately? What are you reading now? What’s up next?
A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
Oooh, I want to read Cloud Cuckoo Land AND The Lincoln Highway both very much – I greatly enjoyed earlier books by both authors.
Enjoy all your books!

Book By Book
I’ve never read previous books by either (though I’ve meant to and started them). I’ve finished both of these now, but can’t talk about what I thought yet. It’s killing me!!
