I haven’t read much this week. It’s been one of those weeks where real life pretty much eclipsed everything else. We’ve been house hunting for a while and finally found one we like. We spent the week frantically putting together an offer, amending it, and waiting for news. Now we’re frantically putting together all the aspects of the deal and crossing our fingers really hard! It’s exciting but also totally and completely overwhelming and terrifying! Hopefully this week will give me a little more time to read later on in the week.
Just Shelved
I finally finished I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki. I ended up purchasing the audiobook so I could listen, which I was glad I did. I enjoyed it a bit more when I could let it wash over me. I had a bit of a hard time connecting to the transcripts of the therapy sessions, but the final parts that talk more freely about the author’s experiences after the book and where we hear from the therapist tied it together for me. A very interesting book.
Currently Reading
I still have Intimations and The Last Chairlift cued up in my audiobooks, and I am planning to get back to them this week. But I also have The Man Who Died Twice from the library for only two more days, so I really need to get to that one first! We’ll see how the week goes.
Up Next
I’m not really sure what I’m going to read next. Possibly one of these – they’re all on my shelves and I’m looking forward to all of them – but also perhaps something totally different! We shall see!
What about you guys? What did you read this week? Have you read any of these?
A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
