Another week of sickness! As per usual, a simple cold has now turned into a lung infection thanks to the joys of asthma. But I’m up and about, have a little more energy, and can (almost) taste things, so we’ll call that improvement, shall we? Books were slow this week because every time I sat down to read I slept, and I’ve got family visiting so less time is being spent with my earbuds in listening to audiobooks. But I am still enjoying what I’m reading, even if more slowly!

Nothing this week!
Currently Reading
I started Lab Girl from my library this week. I haven’t gotten very far yet, but it’s interesting. Not quite what I expected, though. The other three status is pretty much the same as last week.
Up Next
I have the same potential TBR as last week, with the addition of two books I got from the library because I’m not sure if they will be my kind of thing. So I might give one of them a try, we’ll see!
That’s it for me this week. How has your reading week been going? Have you finished any great books? Any you’re currently enjoying or looking forward to picking up next?
A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. I also link up with The Sunday Salon post each week hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz (and sometimes include some of her content prompts).
Hope you are feeling better soon. I have my asthma under control until I come down with some kind of virus too, and then it’s hell.
Enjoy your reading this week.
I’m on the mend, though still have a bit of trouble if I’m exerting myself (cleaning the bathroom required several breaks!). I hear you. You’ll think it’s fine, but then all of a sudden a small virus that has everyone else sniffling and daintily coughing for a couple of days has you coughing so hard you can’t catch your breath for a few weeks. I’d say at least I’m not the only one… except I’d prefer no one else had to deal with this, quite frankly! I’ve been having a great reading week – lots of audiobooks, thank you! I hope you’ve been enjoying your reading this week as well!
I hope you get to feeling better, colds and now an infection…that sucks. Love the books you mentioned here and a few are on my Goodreads list.
Thanks! I’m on the mend. Glad they’re interesting to you and I hope you have a great reading week!
I’m sorry you have been sick. It always seems worse to be sick in the summer than in the winter, though I don’t know why, except that you take it for granted that you are going to be sick in the winter.
My bookgroup and I all enjoyed Lab Girl. I’m a huge fan of Braiding Sweetgrass. Reciprocity. That’s my big takeaway from Braiding Sweetgrass.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
I’m on the mend now! Wouldn’t be so bad except that the sickness is followed by issues due to asthma, so it is worse and lasts longer. But I’m still here, and it could definitely be worse! I started Lab Girl from the library but then my kid REALLY wanted to borrow extra books, so I had to return some for that, and Lab Girl was one of them. I’ll give it another try when I have space on the ole library card! Glad to hear that you all enjoyed that and Braiding Sweetgrass so much! Thank you for the well wishes – I hope things are starting to get back to normal for you (imagine me complaining about a cold when you’re dealing with the aftermath of a hurricane)!
