LINK-UP | IT’S MONDAY! WHAT ARE YOU READING?

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but in a good way. This week I focused on spending time with my family, and it was really nice to have the time and flexibility to let most expectations of getting things done go out the window (except for a couple of medical appointments that couldn’t be avoided). I have been re-watching House, an old favourite, and I’ve completely dived in and haven’t been listening to audiobooks much this week. Worth it.

The only book I finished this week was this one, and technically I didn’t read all of it – I was there while it was being read to my kid by my husband. But I’m still counting it. We are enjoying this series, it’s interesting, has great pacing, and is the type of story I feel good about my kid reading. Strong family connections, responsibility, interesting information about animal care and problem solving. I like books that have good role models and the opportunity to learn. I’m looking forward to continuing with the series.

Currently Reading

I’m reading this one in print, so I’ve mostly been picking it up for a few pages at bedtime. It’s going slowly, but it’s funny and enjoyable so far. I’m looking for it to hit harder and get a little funnier for me to really get into it. Plus I don’t love the characters much, and that’s distracting. So we shall see if it twists in a pleasing direction.

I’m sticking with this list – mostly because it’s late, I have to get up early, and I’m tired. But also who knows, I might read any one of these next!

That’s my week! What about you guys? Did you read anything you enjoyed? Have you read any of these?

A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. I also link up with The Sunday Salon post each week hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz (and sometimes include some of her content prompts).
