This week has been a thoroughly enjoyable reading week! And it’s all thanks to you guys! On Tuesday last week I did a post about various types of relationships in books. In response to this, I got some wonderful recommendations – two of which I have already devoured, and the third I will be reading this coming week! Thank you guys so much!
Just Shelved
I’ve read a few of Elly Griffith’s mysteries, but this one appealed to me as it’s about writers and teachers, with plenty of literary references. Right up my street, in other words! I enjoyed it, though I did guess who did it fairly early on. Bucket List was one of two books recommended to me last week by Joanne (the other is bellow – Frank and Red). I loved it. The relationship between the characters is so beautiful and it left me feeling like life is never without the possibility of wonderful developments. The Mostly True Story of Tanner and Louise was Pam’s wonderful suggestion – it has a lot of crossover with Bucket List but also has a through-plot of thriller/crime drama, which kept my pulse up for a large portion of the book! I would highly recommend them both.
Currently Reading
I’ve only just started the first two, but they’re all promising so far! I’m working my way through Are We Having Fun Yet during my short bit of bedtime reading at night, so progress is steady if slow!
Up Next
These are all still in contention for my next up, though I just got Bookshops and Bonedust from the library so that will likely be my very next one up (unless I get distracted, of course). I’m looking forward to it.
That’s my week! What about you guys? Have you read any wonderful books this week? Any you’d recommend? Have you read any of these? And finally, thanks so much for your recommendations last week Joanne and Pam – absolutely wonderful reads!
A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. I also link up with The Sunday Salon post each week hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz (and sometimes include some of her content prompts).
Some interesting looking books, I hope you enjoy this week’s reads
Thank you – I hope you have a good reading week as well!
