Another slow week for me! We had a school project where we had to build a working model, and none of us are skilled, interested in or experienced at that type of project. Needless to say, that ate up the whole weekend, and it was quite the stress-inducing experience for all of us! (Also it only sort of functions, but we decided to quit while we still had some semblance of sanity left!) I’ve been reading a little bit here and there, but not enough to finish anything. Ah well, there’s always next…. month?
Just Shelved
Nothing.
Currently Reading
The Book of Joe by Jonathan Tropper
The Fire Next Time, Nobody Knows My Name, No Name in the Streets and The Devil Finds Work by James Baldwin
I’m going to keep all of these here, though the only one of the three I’ve touched in the past week is the Baldwin. I’m still on the first piece in the book, The Fire Next Time, which is a re-read for me. But I’m getting as much out of it as I did the first time round, and it’s been a good one to dip in and out of.
Up Next
Friends of Dorothy by Sandi Toksvig
What Your ADHD Child Wishes You Knew by Dr. Sharon Saline
I haven’t narrowed down my TBR much, since I’ve had very little time to think about reading in the past week! Still interested in all of these though, so who knows…
That’s it for this week! It’s looking to be another stressful and busy one coming up, so likely won’t get through much reading this week either. C’est la vie!
A weekly post that encourages bloggers to share what they have read in the past week, what they’re currently reading and books they’ve recently added to their TBRs. Originally started by Sheila at Book Journey, it is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. I also link up with The Sunday Salon post each week hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz (and sometimes include some of her content prompts).
It would probably take me a whole year if I had to build something! I can see why you didn’t get time to read.
I think James Baldwin would be a great person to read at this time.
Haha yeah, it was a lot of work – luckily my husband did most of the really tricky work, but we all chipped in and it was tiring all around! It’s a semi-functional dam, so I guess that’s something! Thank you!
