Well, it was a slower month for me, reading wise. Work is ramping up, and I haven’t been reading quite as voraciously!
This month’s reads were quite varied. I’d say my top pics were probably the Razorland books and Being Henry David – possibly Thirteen Reasons Why. Razorland surprised me – I didn’t expect to be quite as into it as I was. But by the final book, I was squeeing and dancing about. Final review of Horde coming up tomorrow, but just suffice it to say that they’re great.
Being Henry David was my most recent read, and I think the most emotional book I read this month (though closely followed by Thirteen Reasons Why). Yeah, I was surprised too. Maybe there’s just something I connected with in a character who’s trying to outrun something he can’t deal with.
In other news, I published a fair few reviews last month. In case you missed any, here they are:
- Outpost – Ann Aguirre
- Worst. Person. Ever. – Douglas Coupland
- Will Grayson, Will Grayson – John Green and David Levithan
- The Rising – Kelley Armstrong
- The Calling – Kelley Armstrong
- Reality Boy – A. S. King
- Shatter Me – Tahereh Mafi
- The Gathering – Kelley Armstrong
