MY WEEK ON WEDNESDAY | #25

my week on wednesday nordic black

I haven’t read as much as I’d like in the past week, so I’ve only finished one small book. But I had some good news from my eye doctor and have been enjoying my re-watch of The Big Bang Theory! What? Sometimes laughter is just really important.

Just shelved:

The Bad Beginning - Lemony Snicket

I always meant to read Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events, but just didn’t get around to it. The the other day I was looking for something to read that would be quick and entertaining, and this jumped out at me. I wish I’d read these as a child – I think I would have loved them – but I still enjoyed reading the book as an adult.

Currently reading:

The Gold Eaters - Ronald Wright       Why Not Me - Mindy Kaling       The Reptile Room - Lemony Snicket

I’m nearly finished The Gold Eaters, which came out yesterday, and about halfway through Why Not Me? I’m really enjoying both of them – particularly since they’re very different types of books. I’ve also just begun the second Series of Unfortunate Events book, The Reptile Room, which is making me very apprehensive!

Up next:

Quicksand - Seve Toltz       This Is Your Life, Harriet Chance! - Johathan Evison       Extraordinary Means - Robyn Schneider

Since I skipped ahead to read A Series of Unfortunate Events, my next reads haven’t changed too much from last week, though I did add Extraordinary Means. I started it when I was killing time in a bookstore in San Francisco and it’s stuck in my head, so I kind of want to see what happens!

That’s it for my week in books! Over to you guys – what have you read in the past week? What are you currently reading? Have you read any of these? Share in the comments!

My Week On Wednesday is a weekly post in which I share with you what I’ve been reading, what I’m reading next, and any other bookish stuff I enjoyed in the past week! If you’d like to write your own My Week On Wednesday post, or if you’d just like to share your recent reads, feel free to link or chat in the comments!

  1. Care says:

Are you reading BOTH of the Kaling books at the same time? thought I saw that in your goodreads update. I’m reading Fog Island Mountains but have put it down for a few days in favor of constant busy-ness (and listening to my audiobook which I should finish up today.)
