Time to look at the books I added to my shelves this week with Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews! Not necessarily books I bought – also includes books I borrowed, was given or otherwise ended up with. Weeks where I don’t buy books I’ll scramble around my shelves and find some books I haven’t shared in a StS post yet!
I loved Station Eleven so much that I wanted more. I might wait a little while before getting into these, but I expect to enjoy them! I’ve heard a lot about Rooms. Not entirely sure if it’ll be my kind of thing, but thought I’d give it a try. Likewise a friend of mine loved The Martian and highly recommended it. City of Stairs – okay, I admit it, that cover. It’s gorgeous.
I’ve already started Mr. Churchill’s Secretary and so far it’s very promising. Reminds me of Bletchley Circle, a TV show about four female friends who worked as code-breakers during WWII and had a bit of trouble going back to the limitations of being a woman in the 1940s. They solve a series of mysteries – some of which involve serious risk. I adored the show and was devastated when it was cancelled. I’ve been looking for entertainment to fill the void ever since. This series has some serious potential.
Now it’s your turn – what did you guys pick up this week? Any interesting trips to the bookstore or library I should know about?
So jealous you have Mr. Churchill's Secretary! I've had that on my list for SOO long. But I didn't realize it's part of a series. Good to know. This weekend I'm indulging in a WWII love story called How Much Do You Love Me? Review to come soon. 🙂

Haha! Yeah…. me too on both counts!

I really must read The Martian. I've heard such wonderful things about it, but I really have no excuse to add any more books to my already overflowing TBR shelves.
