STACKING THE SHELVES | #43 (OR THE ONE WITH *ALL* THE PRE-ORDERS)

Stacking the Shelves

Time to look at the books I added to my shelves this week with Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews! Not necessarily books I bought – also includes books I borrowed, was given or otherwise ended up with. Weeks where I don’t buy books I’ll scramble around my shelves and find some books I haven’t shared in a StS post yet!

A Brief History of Seven Killings - Marlon James       Horrorstor - Grady Hendrix       The World Before Us - Aislinn Hunter

Black Ice - Becca Fitzpatrick       Kiss Kill Vanish - Jessica Martinez       Love Is the Drug - Alarya Dawn Johnson

You guys, this week was the week ALL THE BOOKS arrived. I don’t even know what to do with myself right now. I find myself literally trying to read two (or even three!) at once. It’s awkward. And confusing.

So far I’ve started Not My Father’s Son, which is surprisingly emotional and easy to get into. I also picked up Glory O’Brien the other night, and all I have to say so far is it’s weird. Like capital “W” Weird. This is only my second A.S. King book, but it’s not really what I expected based on Reality Boy

I’m intrigued by Horrorstör – it’s a unique concept and reminds me of Douglas Coupland. I’m also really looking forward to A Brief History of Seven Killings, which I think will be epic but sounds fantastic.

What about you guys? Pick up any goodies this week? Share in the comments!
