Stacking the Shelves

Time to look at the books I added to my shelves this week with Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews! Not necessarily books I bought – also includes books I borrowed, was given or otherwise ended up with. Weeks I don’t buy any books I’ll scramble around my shelves and find some I haven’t shared in an StS post yet!

The People In the Trees - Hanya Yanagihara        The Girl With All the Gifts       Whatever... Love Is Love - Maria Bello
The People In the Trees – Hanya Yanagihara
Whatever… Love Is Love – Maria Bello

And a huge thanks to the folks at Random House of Canada for these gorgeous tomes:

Boo - Neil Smith        We Are All Made of Molecules        A God In Ruins - Kate Atkinson
Boo – Neil Smith
A God In Ruins – Kate Atkinson

I’m about halfway through Boo, which is odd and mesmerizing. I’m also nearing the middle of Life After Life, the book that came before A God In Ruins. It’s not what I expected, and also not at all like any other version of time travel or immortality (I’m not even sure how to accurately describe the phenomenon at the centre of this novel accurately) I’ve encountered. Which is a very good thing, as usually I find both to be fraught with inconsistencies. Definitely glad the release of AGIR pushed me to finally dive into this one!

What about you guys? Pick up any of great books this week?

I am going to have to pick Life After Life off of my shelves soon and read it, especially with the upcoming release of A God in Ruins. I am excited to hear your thoughts about it when you finally finish! Also, I know so many people that LOVE The Girl With All the Gifts! Hope you do too!
