It’s been quite a bookish week this week, what with Bout of Books and the fact that my computer broke – both of which led to much more time spend with my nose in a book (or two or three). I’ve made great headway on a few, but I’ve also dabbled in some new additions.
A few of my pre-orders finally arrived this week, all of which I’ve been really excited to dive into:
The Beautiful Bureaucrat – Helen Phillips
Kitchens of the Great Midwest – J. Ryan Stradal
And I picked up a couple of coveted volumes at Indigo during their bonus gift card deal (spend $40, get a $10 gift card for free) which ends today:
The Infographic Guide to Literature – Joanna Eliot
I’ve already polished off The Infographic Guide to Literature, which is a great coffee table book, one you can pick up, flip to any page, and find something fascinating on. I’ve also been hearing amazing things about The Beautiful Bureaucrat, so I’ve just begun reading that one as well.
What about you guys? Did you add any exciting books to your shelves this week? Have you read any of these books?
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga’s Reviews that’s all about the books we added to our shelves over the past week. Not necessarily books I bought – also includes books I borrowed, was given or otherwise ended up with. Weeks I don’t buy any books I’ll scramble around my shelves and find some I haven’t shared in an StS post yet!
I have been thinking about giving Fishbowl a go. Have you heard many good things about it? Sounds different and maybe I will go ahead and grab it for my Kindle. Great haul and enjoy your books!
Wow! Great Haul. Happy reading!
