TOP TEN TUESDAY | BOOK TITLES THAT MADE ME CURIOUS

I’ve already done the prompt for this week – hilarious book titles – here. So this week I’m going to do a bit of a tangential prompt. I’m going to list some books with titles that made me really, really curious!

Of these I’ve only read three and a half so far, so I can’t report back on whether all of them lived up to their titles. But so far so good! What about you guys? Have any book titles completely hooked you before you even read the back cover or cracked them open? Any of these that you’re curious about now?

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.

I loved Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race. It was informative, for sure, but also did a really good job of showing how tiring it can be to be Black, how frustrating it is to constantly be put into boxes, and how much anger can be associated with a lifetime of those experiences. I thought it was such a valuable reading experience for us white people who want to begin to understand more about what it’s like to be BIPOC. Thanks for stopping by!

That one was interesting for sure. It’s been years since I read it, but I remember it being set in Seattle and having a monkey, I think? It was unique, as are all Robbins’ books! Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates was probably my favourite, but they’re mostly pretty interesting.

Thanks! Sometimes I see a title or cover and it just instantly makes me curious, even before I’ve read the blurb! One-Armed Sister I just read for the BookTube Prize and I can say it’s not like anything else I’ve read before!
