I don’t get asked to recommend books by very many people, not counting this blog. There are a couple of people in my life I share books or book recs with, but I try not to go too overboard. So I’m just going to share some of the books I’ve recommended a few times over the years, really talked up on social media, or that I have recommended recently.
So there area a few of the books I recommend to people and have gifted to them! What about you guys? Has anyone read any of these? If so, have you recommended them? Which books are your top recs/gifts?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
THE BOY, THE MOLE, THE FOX AND THE HORSE is one I have been interested in.
Oh, I really hope you give it a go! It’s so short and easy to read, but really, really sweet and full of tiny thoughtful nuggets!
I’ve not read any of these, but I think I did read Trevor Noah’s Born A Crime because I saw you talking about how much you enjoyed it on here (it’s always hard to pin down exactly where you get recommendations for on other blogs because often you see the same book talked about a lot and can’t pin down where you first saw it).

Oooh, that’s so true! Did you end up enjoying Born A Crime? I loved it, but I am never sure if I have a particular taste, or whether the things I love have wider appeal. I think this is one that has been well loved by others, though!
I really liked Uncommon Reader, especially in light of all the pomp and circumstance this past week!
Haha! Good point, I hadn’t even thought of that!
I’ve read and enjoyed the first two books on your list. I haven’t tried the others, but there are several on here that I want to take a closer look at.
Happy TTT!

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed those two! They’re two of my favourites, and also some of the few books I have read more than once. Which others are you interested in, do you think?
Heartstopper is just the best!
It is! I’m so glad to have discovered it.
The Uncommon Reader is such a gem! I keep forgetting to read more from that author though, I must check it out. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/books-i-recommend-to-others-the-most/
I fully agree! It’s a great one if you need a bit of a break from real life. I also haven’t read any more of his work – I tried a couple of times but never got very far. I wonder if this book is unique in his bibliography? Who knows, but either way I adore it! Happy reading to you as well!
I haven’t read any of these yet. I’ll have to check them out.
I highly recommend all of them, of course! 😉
Great list!
Q’s Legacy is one I had not heard of and sounds fascinating.
Thank you! Oh, I just adore Q’s Legacy. I’ve read it twice now, and it’s just as good as I remembered. It’s like having a long conversation about learning and reading and life with a great, hilarious, irreverent friend. I couldn’t be a bigger fan!
I, like you, hesitate before recommending books to all but a few people. I’ve had so many of my recommendations given to those who might not have been worthy of the recommendations I gave them.
HAHAHAHA I never would have put it so bluntly, but…. yeah. Pretty much! Also that glazed look when you know they don’t care, but it’s a book that means so much to you.
