TOP TEN TUESDAY | BOOKS (MAYBE) ON MY AUTUMN 2022 TBR

I’m not really one for TBRs, as you all know, so instead of an actual TBR with intent, I’m listing some books that are coming out soon, have come out recently or have been on or near the top of my list of books I really want to read for a while and aren’t shifting!

Okay, so the chances of me reading more than one, maaaaaaybe two, of these in the autumn are very slim. But that doesn’t change my excitement about them, or how much I expect to enjoy them when I do get to them!

What about you guys? Which new releases are you looking forward to? Any other books you’re planning to get to? Do you think your chances of actually reading said books is better than mine (spoiler alert: YES)? Have you read any of these?

Top Ten Tuesdayย is a weekly link-up feature created byย The Broke and the Bookishย and hosted by Jana atย That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, goย here.

I just finished the audio of Viola Davis’ book – AMAZING. And very impactful when told in her own very distinctive voice. Recommended. Kingsolver and Ng’s new ones are definitely on my radar as well. I keep a list but it’s long and random and rarely planned as to ‘when’ I’ll read something, but my list does have a little intention behind it. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s great to hear! I will definitely choose audiobook when I do get around to reading it, for exactly that reason. Haha! I have a huge TBR – both the list and physically, in my house, and it’s all completely random. I’m very much a mood reader!

I haven’t either – and everyone seems to feel like it’s realistic and brilliant, especially considering it was written by a 17 year-old! I am fascinated by A Tidy Ending, so I’m hoping to give that a try soon!

I’m not sure when I’ll get around to it, but it’s definitely one I’m really interested in. Particularly as it’s supposed to be very realistic and was written when she was only 17! Happy reading to you as well!

I haven’t finished any of her books either (I tried two and it just wasn’t the right time), but I know I need to. I fully expect to love her work when I do finally manage to stick with one! Let me know what you think!

    • RAIN CITY READS says:

Yes! I just started using Netgalley again as well, so I’m planning to keep checking in for new titles there – and I’ll always prioritize those books over other reading. And book club picks, too. Ah well! I just like exploring what’s coming out, even if I know I’ll likely not read any!

    • RAIN CITY READS says:

Yes! I love Viola Davis – she seems so grounded and no-nonsense. I definitely want to find out more about her life. I think it’s still fairly new, so I don’t think it’s out in paperback yet (or if it is, only just!). Thank you!

    • RAIN CITY READS says:

Hahahahaha! Yes! The premise doesn’t appeal to me that much, but because it’s Kingsolver, if I can get access to a copy from the library, I’ll give it a try! I’ll look for your feedback, of course ๐Ÿ˜‰
