I feel the need to say, yet again, though all of you who come here often already know, that I am not good at being told what to do. This applies to people in authority who I do not trust, but also to myself. I can choose a list of books I’m super excited to read. Books I’m longing to lose myself in. But the very act of putting them on a list of books I am going to read makes me less likely to read them. So all I can do for TBRs is the books that, at the time of writing this, seem most exciting and bright. The ones that, if I were choosing a book to read this very second, I would happily dive into. And yet… I know I’ll probably read totally different ones. So take this with an entire salt shaker.
Who knows if I’ll get to all (or any) of these, but as of this writing these are the books I’m most excited to get to! Of these, I’m probably most excited about Dave Grohl’s book and Disability Visibility. But it’s tight, the rest are exciting too!
What about you guys? Which books are you looking forward to reading this autumn? Which books that will be coming out in the next few months are you most excited to pick up?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Dave’s memoir is on my list too. I can’t wait to read it!

Me neither! I have a lot of respect for him and love his music. Should be a good read!
Ah The Last Bookshop in London is such a lovely book, I hope you enjoy it!

Oh good! I’m excited to give it a try!
Happy Tuesday! You have so many good reads on your TBR List for the Fall. I can’t wait to read. Care Free Black Girls and How The One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House
If you have time, I’d love for you to check out my Top Ten Tuesday post:

Thanks, to you as well! I mean, the chances of me reading any of these right away now that I’ve put them on a LIST is basically zero, but at some point I’ll get to them!
A great list! I hope you enjoy reading them all.
I loved Firekeeper’s Daughter! It’s such a good read.
When you get the opportunity, I hope you can stop by my post: https://readbakecreate.com/autumn-2021-tbr-10-books-i-hope-to-read/
Oh yay! I’ve heard great things and can’t wait until my hold is up for the audiobook from my library!
Wow! I haven’t heard of most of these, but they look incredible… but Disability Visibility I did tackle over the summer, and can personally attest, it is absolutely excellent. Take your time with it: it’s some heavy stuff, and each of the stories really stay with you, so it’s worth taking some time to mull over. Happy reading! 🙂
Oh I’m so glad to hear that it worked so well for you. I wasn’t sure if anyone had heard of it. But it hits close to home – I have a few disabilities and because they’re not visible I feel like I’ve spent most of my life either suffering in silence or having to share private medical info to get people to share a seat on the bus. It’s such an important issue – even just to get it to occur to people that not every seemingly healthy young person actually is healthy. It’s a huge gap in awareness, I think!
Disability Visibility sounds like a book we should all read. Thanks for including it. Happy reading! https://readwithstefani.com/five-fantasy-sci-fi-books-on-my-autumn-tbr/
I agree! Thank you!
I want to read Care-Free Black Girls, too.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I’m pleased it’s gotten a couple of call-outs in the comments!
I just finished Firekeeper’s Daughter this weekend and…wow.
Well in that case, I’m definitely excited for it. Now if only my audiobook library hold would become available!
I really should read Disability Visibility sometime.

Me too!!
Firekeeper’s Daughter is one of my favourite books of the year, I hope you enjoy it!
I’ve heard a few recommendations for it on this post, so it’s definitely one I’m excited to get to!
