Yet another of the endless opportunities to make a TBR that I have like 0.1% chance of reading a single book from! But hey, that’s part of the fun right? The anticipation? Let’s see what I’m most anticipatory about today!
I’ll be interested to see which – if any – of these books I actually pick up this summer! I’ll also be keeping an eye on the finalists for The BookTube Prize, and I might read along with that for fun.
What about you guys? Which books are you most excited to read poolside or pack for the beach? Are any of my books on your TBR this year?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Of the three books here that I’ve read, I recommend The Final Revival of Opal & Nev and Bad Cree. Yes, it’s classified as horror, but not really. I say that because horror is not my thing, and I enjoyed reading it. Some parts lean toward thriller more than horror, and some Indigenous folklore. Does that make any sense?

Oh, thank you! That was exactly my hesitation with Bad Cree. I am not one for horror at all, so that classification had me nervous! And yes, that makes perfect sense!
I have a hard time sticking to lists as well. If you do read any of these, I hope you enjoy them! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Yeah, it’s a tough one! Fun to make them though. Thanks, I hope you enjoy your summer reading too!
I’m the same way. I enjoy making seasonal TBR lists even if I never actually stick to them. It’s just fun to think about books I might want to read. I hope you enjoy all these when you get to them.
Happy TTT!

Exactly! It’s like wandering through a bookstore and collecting a huge stack of interesting books and then snuggling into a chair in an out of the way corner to peruse each at length. Only one or two will end up coming home, but that time spent exploring the possibilities is pure magic!
I wanted to read Bad Cree but a few people I know really didn’t like it so I’ve been put off.
I’m very curious about it, but it is apparently horror, which isn’t a genre I have the constitution for!
I want to read Tommy Orange’s Wandering Star as well. // I read Braiding Sweetgrass and really enjoyed it.
I loved There There and want to read Wandering Star – the only thing stopping me is that I think it overlaps with the first book, and it’s been so long since I read it that I’ve forgotten the characters! I’m wavering between just jumping into Wandering Star and re-reading There There first! I have heard such wonderful things about Braiding Sweetgrass. Have you read Gathering Moss? I want to read both of them but am sort of saving them!
