I’m doing a bit of a twist on this week’s April Showers theme and selecting some of my favourite books to read on a rainy day. The prerequisites are that it must be easy to read (no dense historical non-fiction or philosophical leanings here), it must feel at least a bit cosy, and it must be one that’s hard to put down. Something that you can lose yourself in and feel completely immersed.
This is an eclectic mix of different types of books, but each in its own way provides that enveloping sense of complete immersion, and each leaves behind some food for thought, but also a good, wholesome, cosy feeling.
Are there any of your favourite books you’d add to this list? Any you’ve read or want to read? Do you agree with my picks?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
I feel like you could have put almost any Jenny Colgan book on this list, too. I’ve read several of her books and they all tend to have that cozy vibe.
