This week’s prompt allowed us to choose a particular thing or theme often found on book covers (or less often if you’re in for a challenge). I love books about books, and anything to do with books always catches my attention. So obviously books that have books or people reading on the cover are going to catch my eye. Here are some of my favourite book covers that fit this brief, along with one of my kid’s as a bonus!
So there you are, lots of books with books and readers on the cover! Can you guys think of any I missed? Do you have any favourite books that fit?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Books about books are always so attractive! Somehow it’s fascinating to read about the reading experiences and loves of fellow readers — well, I guess that’s we blog book reviews etc.! These are lovely, thanks!
Haha! Yes, I totally agree. And it’s definitely one of the reasons I’m here!
I really enjoyed The Last Bookshop In London!

Oooh good to hear!
🙂
Great choice! Emma Hart has a series with girls reading on them and it’s so fun.
I will always pick up a book with someone reading on the cover!
Nice covers

Thank you!
What a good topic!! I’ve only read Q’s Legacy and looked at (and loved ) I Could Pee on This. Lots of new books here to consider reading.
You’re the first person ever in my life who’s even heard of Q’s Legacy, let alone read it! Isn’t it marvelous? I have to admit to loving it possibly even more than 84!
Fun topic. I certainly enjoy books written about books! The Bookshop on the Corner is the best looking to me.
Me too! I love going into it already feeling like I know I’ll have a connection to the characters, just because we both love books!
They are good covers. I need to read more books with books on the cover!
Happy TTT!

Yeah, I keep meaning to get around to it – I really should try it one of these days!
A great collection of bookish books! The only one on your list that I have read is The Bookshop on the Corner, but I believe I have a couple others on my TBR.

I haven’t read that one yet, but I am hoping it’ll be cosy and fun! (And bookish, of course!)
I love the cover of Bookworm.
Great list. I love your spin on this week’s prompt. It’s funny to see how many book covers have books on them 😉

Thank you! It certainly is. I kept thinking of more and more!
I love your topic. Why didn’t I think of it. I considered flowers or a spring theme but then opted for weirdly awful classic covers My TTT is here. Please visit and comment. Thanks.
I don’t really know where the idea came from – probably a random book that was lying around while I was trying to think of a topic! I do find that books that have books and readers on the cover tend to appeal to me, to a much greater degree than the same book would without that cover! I do like niche little corners of book cover history – particularly awful ones – so I’ll check yours out as well! Thanks for sharing!
