This is such an interesting prompt! I’d never thought about geographical terms in book titles before, but now that I have I’m seeing them everywhere! Here are some of the books I was able to find fairly easily that have geographical terms in them – I think city was really interesting in the variety of titles that include the term!
That turned out to be a long one! But I don’t feel like picking and choosing and moving images around, so I’m just rolling with it!
What about you guys? Are any of my finds on your list this week? Which of the books you found are you most proud of? Which geographical term showed up most frequently on your shelves?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
I’m so glad to see Gaiman and Klune on your list! Thanks for sharing.
Haha! Yes, honestly I’ll take any opportunity to mention The House in the Cerulean Sea because I loved it that much!!!
I didn’t realize how many books had geographical terms in them either! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Right? I was SO surprised!
I couldn’t come up with enough titles for the topic this week, so I went in a different direction-I didn’t want an entire list of just “City” titles which is the main geographic term in titles of books I’ve read!

Yeah, if I’d stuck to books I’d read it would have been a MUCH shorter list! Haha!
There are a lot of books with “sea” and “city,” I think. Very thorough list.
Yes, those were definitely easy ones!!
This list is making me miss the ocean. 🙂

Hahaha! I feel like that’s a good thing? Maybe?
A great list! I have a couple of them on my TBR, and maybe I’ll be able to read them again soon.

I haven’t read all of these – I pretty much never stick to just books I’ve read for TTT unless it’s a topic that’s like “the best X books you’ve ever read.” Otherwise I’ll add from my TBR as well! Which are top of your list you’d like to read?
A great selection. I didn’t think that I read that many books with geographical titles, but apparently I do!
I loved House in the Cerulean Sea – I have it on my list!
Have a great week!

Yes, once you start looking for them, geographical terms are actually not very hard to find!! I adored Cerulean. One of my favourite books of last year! I hope you have a great week as well!
Great list. You picked really great titles for this week’s prompt. So many of these books are on my TBR which is why they’re not my picks, but I can’t wait to read them now. Especially The Starless Sea, The House in the Cerulean Sea, and City of Girls.

Have a great week 😀
Thank you! I definitely have NOT read all of these either. I read half of Starless Sea and it was going a bit slowly and I got distracted and just didn’t feel a strong urge to go back to it. I ADORED The House in the Cerulean Sea, so I’d definitely recommend that for when you’re having a bad day and need a story that shows the good in people and the world again. City of Girls really surprised me. It wasn’t perfect, but there was a lot more to it than I expected. If you like books set in this time period (WWII and after), female characters that don’t fit with the world they’re in, great friend relationships and a lot of character development, I think you’d enjoy it. I hope you have a great week too!
Sunburned Country is a really unique choice, with a great cover to boot. But I also like “Unmapped” Mind (very clever spin!) and On Earth we’re briefly gorgeous (what a thought provoking book title!).
I love the Sunburned Country book – it’s just so hilarious! Haha thanks! I had a lot of fun finding books for this, because there are so many that fit, but in kind of roundabout ways, and it’s interesting to see what you can find! Thanks for stopping by!
You and I have many, many books in common. Do you keep track of your books on Goodreads? If so, befriend me, then it will be easier to keep up with you and your books: Anne Bennett.
We do! I always love looking at your posts because either there are a lot of books I recognize or a decent number to add to my TBR! I did see this a couple of days ago and I added you on Goodreads, so hopefully you’re able to see my shelves now! Sorry it’s been a crazy week so I didn’t have a chance to reply to let you know until now. Thanks for the idea, I love keeping up with people who have similar reading tastes on Goodreads!
