I have had a hard time with this one. I’m sure I’ve read plenty of books with redemption as a theme, I’m sure there are lots of characters I started off disliking and ended up forgiving – or even supporting. But I can’t think of many right now. I’ve got a short list today:
- Severus Snape (I shall give no further detail on this one in case spoilers)
- Joel from The Great Unexpected
- Ove from A Man Called Ove
- Tom Felton in his memoir Beyond the Wand
- Astrid from Delilah Green Doesn’t Care
- Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol
- Mary Lennox (and a few other characters) from The Secret Garden
That’s all I have this week, and honestly I’m a bit uncertain on a couple of them. Oh well, some prompts are harder than others!
What about you guys? Did you also struggle with this week’s prompt? Did you find some great examples?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Scrooge!! Of course! The more posts I read the more it all makes sense. Ove was popular today. Good work!
I honestly didn’t feel like this was an easy one – I felt like I went with the obvious, but Ove was a pleasant choice as I enjoyed both the book and the character development so much!
