This, potentially, is a fun one. If I can get my memory to work properly, which is always a bit of a crapshoot if I’m being honest. But here we go, let’s see what I come up with *cracks knuckles.*
- Hermione Granger (The Harry Potter series) and Matilda Wormwood (Matilda)
- Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables) and Cassandra Mortmain (I Capture the Castle)
- Gandalf (The Lord of the Rings series) and Voldemort (The Harry Potter series)
- Augustus Waters (The Fault in Our Stars) and Adrian Mole (The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4)
- Trixie Belden (The Trixie Belden series) and Veronica Mars (from the book series and TV show)
- Ove (A Man Called Ove) and Scout Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird)
- Helene Hanff (author of Q’s Legacy and 84, Charing Cross Road) and A.J. Fikry (The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry)
- Hazel Grace (The Fault in Our Stars) and Lenni (The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot)
- Harriet the Spy (Harriet the Spy) and Mary Lennox (The Secret Garden)
- Dicken (The Secret Garden) and Gerald Durrell (Author of My Family and Other Animals) and James Herriot (author of All Creatures Great and Small)
- Ryland Grace (Project Hail Mary) and Mark Watney (The Martian)
That’s all I can think of for today! Did you have any similar pairings? Any from your list you’re particularly proud of? Share in the comments!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Very clever pairings. As per usual you and I have several in common. Just like us, huh?
Thanks! I saw that, and yeah, pretty much to be expected at this point! 🙂
Hermione and Matilda would be a great one, I could see them getting along really well. Gandalf and Voldemort would definitely be interesting……

Yeah, Anne Shirley would probably enjoy their company too! All three I’ve wished I could befriend since I was a kid. Yeah, one hopes Gandalf would be able to take Voldemort down more easily!
Ove and Scout would be such a great pair!

Yeah, that one I didn’t have an explanation for, it just felt right somehow!
#1 is great! I love these pairings.
Thanks! It was fun to think them up!
