TOP TEN TUESDAY | DEBUT NOVELS I ENJOYED

It’s funny, I very rarely pay attention to whether a book is a debut or not. Especially when I’m reading the backlist of an established and prolific author. I rarely know which of their books came first, and I rarely care. But for this post I had to actually do some research and find that out. Some weren’t a huge surprise, but some were. Here are some of the debut novels, both classic and contemporary, that I very much enjoyed.

And, because I always add in extra, here are some debut novels I haven’t read yet but have either heard great things about or am very excited to get to:

That’s my list for the week! What about you guys? Did you discover any debuts you were surprised by? Which is your favourite debut novel? Were any of mine on your list?

The library waitlist in my area for A Man Call Ove is super long, but I do want to read that one someday!

Jane Eyre and the Anne Shirley books were all great.

    Thanks for stopping by earlier.

It’s one of my favourites because it was such an interesting reading experience – not like anything else I’d read! I nearly forgot it as well though because it’s been so long since I read it!

There There was such a great book – I didn’t know much going in, but it had great characters and felt like a breath of fresh air. Not like anything else I’ve read before. Happy reading to you as well!
