I’m not as on top of upcoming releases as I normally am, but I’ve spent a little time Googling and have found a fair few worth noting!
July
Of these I’m probably most interested in New One and Loveless, but Crossings is intriguing (it’s an experimental novel that can be read in multiple ways) and Big Friendship could go either way for me!
August
Summer is one that of course I’ll have on my TBR, though I’m behind in the series. Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From is one I think would be a quick read, but sounds like it’ll have a strong message.
September
There are so many exciting books coming out this month! I’ve been waiting for Solutions and Other Problems for years and can’t wait. I read another of Antoine Laurain’s books last year and really enjoyed it, so I’m extra excited that The Readers’ Room has a literary topic. I’ve yet to read Fredrik Backman, but Anxious People might be a place to start. Smash It! is by Francina Simone, one of my favourite BookTubers, so I’m excited to give that a try. And Homeland Elegies and Once I Was You seem like timely books. I’m not sure if I’ll continue to support J.K. Rowling after her recent anti-Trans statements, but I’m putting it on the list as it’s a notable release, regardless of whether I choose to spend money on it or not. Likely I won’t.
October
I think I’m most excited for Come On In from this lot. I doubt I’ll actually read Troy, however I am a huge fan of Stephen Fry’s, so it bears mentioning for those of you who are fans of mythological re-tellings!
November
I’m interested to see how Jacqueline Winspear does with memoir as her usual book genre is historical mystery. I’m not sure if I’ll pick up Meena Kandasamy’s new book as I was iffy on her last one, but I do love the title (Exquisite Cadavers)!
December
How to Be Heard and The System are top of my list from these titles. I still haven’t read All Involved by Ryan Gattis but have heard wonderful things and am interested to see how he does in a new format. I am not sure about Pirate Stew, but like with Stephen Fry’s new work, I feel like any Neil Gaiman release is worth noting.
That’s my list of anticipated upcoming releases for the rest of this year, though I’m sure I’ve missed some! Which of these are you most excited to pick up? Any big ones I’ve forgotten to include?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Well, my favorite is How to Walk Away. I would say start with that one because of that. But this one and Things You Save in a Fire are both really good, too.
Thank you! I have Things You Save in a Fire on my TBR already but will add How to Walk Away (love the title)!
What You Wish for is an excellent read. I hope you love it!
I haven’t read anything by her yet – do you think it would be the best place to start with her, or is one of her previous books a better entry point?
I’ve heard great things about Summer.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I’ve only read Autumn so far, but I really enjoyed it and keep meaning to get to Winter and Spring. They should be pretty quick reads, it’s just finding the right moment to get stuck in! Glad to hear Summer keeps up the standard. Something to look forward to!
Thanks for this! You introduced me to a lot of new books that I didn’t know were coming out. I cannot wait for Anxious People and Transcendent Kingdom!
Yay! I love nothing more than adding to already bursting TBRs! evil grin
I’m especially interested in the new Garth Nix and the new Yaa Gyasi books. The Reader’s Room will also probably go on my list.
That’s the one I really want to get my hands on! I love Laurain’s books for the lighthearted feeling of them. Exactly what I need right now!
You found some good ones. I also want to read Punching the Air and The Black Kids. I hadn’t heard of The Times I Knew I was Gay, so that’s been added to my Goodreads.

I hadn’t heard of it before I wrote this post either! Looks good, though.
Loveless has been on several lists this week!
My TTT .
Yes, I’m intrigued by the premise and happy to see more diversity being represented!
I struggled about putting the Galbraith on the list for the same reasons as you, but I am engaged with the story. No idea if I will end up reading it or not.
Yeah, it’s a tricky situation for sure. I am behind on the series anyway, so I don’t need to worry about it yet. Might just wait until I catch up and then get on the library ebook waiting list and read it that way!
