This is an interesting theme, because it’s a lot more open-ended than it seems at first glance. This could be the typical romantic conclusion type of “awww” moment, but it could also be so many other kinds. When someone who has been through a rough time experiences a kindness. When someone breaks through their trauma and allows themselves to trust another person. When a parent and child who have been separated are reunited. When best friends have a fight and make up. When a teacher connects with a child who hasn’t had enough support and helps them feel like they’re smart and capable and have a future. I mean the options are endless, really. So though I’m not that good at remembering the details of books long past finishing them, I’m going to do my best to at least remember books that HAD “awww” moments, even if I can’t tell you exactly what they were, and even if they’re not what you’d first imagine or in books that have happy endings!
That’s it! Let me know if this post made sense at all, and if you agree with me on any of the less obvious picks!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Cerulean Sea and Reading List definitely had those quieter awww moments. They were some of my fave reads this year. Hope you find time to read a good book this week.

Yes, I enjoyed both of them a lot. Both hit on some heart strings!
A Man Called Ove and The Reading List are great examples of books with Aww moments!

Yeah, I was surprised by how much those two books affected me – I went into both of them without much in the way of expectations. Which probably made them better, tbh!
Interesting perspective on the topic cause I took it in the romantic sense but you are so right there are many things that could be that “aww” moment.
Yeah, I thought of the romantic one first, I just couldn’t think of enough to include, so I switched it up a little! I think it probably was meant to be romance though!
Oh – The Secret Garden! That’s such a great one, I remember reading it endlessly as a kid. And definitely agree with The House on the Cerulean Sea, but I think that’s obvious. Great list!
Here’s my post for this week.
I re-read it again recently and it definitely does have an impact! Cerulean Sea was one of my favourites last year!
I don’t remember quotes, but I know that there were awww moments in the books I chose 🤣
I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea.
Have a great week!

Yeah, I never keep track of quotes at all, so it’s always just a vague feeling of there was something in there that fit!
Project Hail Mary was excellent. I can’t wait for the film version of it.

I didn’t know there was going to be a film! Exciting!
We definitely interpreted this week’s prompt the same way! We even have a few books with our favorite “aww” moments in common. The House in the Cerulean Sea, Project Hail Mary…
Love your list and will take a look at the ones I haven’t read yet.
Elza Reads
Excellent! I had fun thinking of these ones. I’ll check out your list as well!
The Reading List has a really cool cover! Definitely one I should read up on. 🙂
Yeah, it’s one I stumbled across because it was on sale on Audible, I think! I ended up really enjoying it though. Not a super plot-driven one, but definitely has good character development.
I contemplated adding Project Hail Mary this week, too. I am in love with that storyline. I did include The Boy, the Mole… But we already knew we are simpatico!
My ‘aww’ moments and more.
I really liked Project Hail Mary, which surprised me as I loved The Martian and thought there’s no way he could make me love a sci-fi book twice! Ah, The Boy etc. is such a fave. Even my kid likes it!
