I’ve tried to delve into the recesses of my mind to think of some great books I’ve read that I don’t hear discussed that much, and that I really enjoyed. I’ve started with some I read and loved as a child – so definitely qualify as backlist – then progressed to more recent but still a few years old. I’m not sure if all of these fit the mark – some are better known than others, and I’m not quite sure just how well known – but at the very least these are some enjoyable reads!
I’d love to hear if you’ve read any of these, or if you are interested to read them. I’d also love it if you shared your favourite backlist title in the comments!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
Q’s Legacy has been on my TBR for ages. Thanks for the reminder. Happy reading. My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/book-with-one-word-titles/
Oh I do hope you find a chance to read it at some point. It’s such a wonderful book to read if you’re a bibliophile, because so is she and her love of the written word bounds off the pages!
I don’t remember anything about THE WOLVES OF WILLOUGHBY CHASE, but I know I loved it as a kid. I’ll have to re-read it. Thanks for the reminder!
Happy TTT!

Me too! I haven’t read it since I was little and I have almost no recollection of it. I have it, bought a few years ago to re-read, but I haven’t gotten to it yet. I wonder how it’ll read as an adult?
Trixie Belden was one of my favorite series growing up. I preferred her to Nancy Drew.

Absolutely, 100%. I couldn’t relate to Nancy Drew with her matching outfits and perfect hair and cookie cutter boyfriend. I just found her puzzling. I liked the stories well enough, but the character… meh. Trixie, on the other hand, I did get. I wanted to be friends with her. I understood the desire to avoid doing the girl jobs and wearing skirts and wanting to just go run around outside and get mucky!
The Opposite of Loneliness is the only one I remember. I never did read it.
Oh, it’s such a lovely collection! Maybe you’ll get to it one day!
That Elizabeth Wein book is one of only a couple of hers that I still haven’t read yet, I really need to get to it one day.

You know what, it’s actually the only one of hers I HAVE read! I keep meaning to read more, because I really enjoyed this one, but so far I just haven’t gotten around to it. I really need to get to them one day! 😉
I loved Trixie Belden! What a blast from my past. Thank you for sharing these books!
Me too! One of my all-time favourite characters!
I have some Trixie Belden books on my shelf. I cannot remember if I read them or not. They sure sound like cute reads though. 🙂
I feel like they don’t hold up as well to adult reading, but when I was a kid I could not get enough of them! I liked that Trixie messed up and got messy and wasn’t interested in “girly” things. Just like me!
