TOP TEN TUESDAY | LONGEST BOOKS ON MY “READ” SHELF

Short and sweet this week – in contrast to the topic! Here are the longest books on my Goodreads “read” shelf:

I Know This Much Is True – 897 pages
The Mists of Avalon – 884 pages
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – 870 pages

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – 759 pages
Breaking Dawn – 756 pages
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – 734 pages

The Fountainhead – 727 pages
A Little Life – 720 pages
A Son of the Circus – 704 pages

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – 652 pages
The Cider House Rules – 640 pages

I’m a little surprised that so many of these are books from series – I guess because they didn’t feel long when I read them, since they were books for young readers. Here are a few other books I expected to end up on this list:

Americanah – 589 pages
Purity – 576 pages
Frida – 528 pages

The Robber Bride – 528 pages
The Autobiography of Malcolm X – 527 pages

So that’s it for this week – I’d love to know if you’ve read any of these, and which are the longest books you’ve ever read?

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
