I like this theme, mostly because several years ago I was in New Orleans for the beginning of Mardi Gras, and those memories are some of my best. Here are my picks for the theme:
This is a bit of a random collection – I tried to find books with purple, green or yellow/gold on the cover that were also something to do with New Orleans, with varied success. Some of these I’ve read or read part of, others I have on my shelves, others I found via the wonderful Google and I can say nothing about other than that they fit the theme! The last one in particular was just a random find, though I did get a kick out of a Mardi Gras themed Nancy Drew book! Ah, the memories.
What did you guys do with the theme this week? Have you read any of these? Any suggestions for New Orleans books with the right colours on the cover that I missed?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
The Yellow house sounds fun. Happy reading 😀 Here’s my TTT if you want to have a look https://readwithstefani.com/books-with-green-covers/
I’d love to go to New Orleans, it sounds like it would be a really fun city to visit!

I had so much fun there. It is an array of colours and music and amazing food. The energy is unlike anything else I’ve experienced, and was so full of life!
Excellent Work! We had two of the same! Always fun to see that.
Yes! I checked yours out and you have some fantastic picks! I can’t believe I forgot to include Dollbaby – good find!
I’d never heard of that Nancy Drew title before, but now I’m curious. 🙂

I hadn’t either!! I had no idea. Where I lived we only had the original Nancy Drews in my library, not some of the newer more fun ones! Maybe I’ll check it out one day – I haven’t read a Nancy Drew in decades!
My New Orleans, Gone Away sounds interesting.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I’ve had it on my shelf for ages and keep looking at it and going, “I really MUST read that soon!” I really should read that soon. 😉
Fun TTT 🙂 Here’s my TTT post:

We’re close to New Orleans, but we’ve never been to Mardi Gras. Your covers are quite festive.
We were only there at the very beginning of Mardi Gras I think – if memory serves it was a multi-day event – and while I loved it, it was a LOT if you’re not big on crowds! I was glad to experience it, but not sure if I’d want to be right in the thick of things every year!
I love that you linked the books to New Orleans. The City of Lost Fortunes is set in New Orleans and has a yellow cover in the UK.
Oooh thank you! That title sounds familiar, I will have to check it out! I find New Orleans is such a great setting for books – it has so many different elements (spooky, loud, vibrant, celebratory, food-loving, musical, beautiful and moody landscape….) that make it so fun to play with in books!
I talked about my visit to New Orleans and other places in the US too!
Didn’t you just love NOLA? It is one of my most favourite places in the world!
That Nancy Drew Cover really does it, doesn’t it? My TTT Colored Covers
Yes, it really does!!
