It’s funny, unless a book is reeeeeally long, I don’t really notice the length that much. So I had to think a bit about which ones would actually qualify as being short reads. I decided that I’d include both short books and books that read very quickly, since the two feel so similar to me. Here are some of my favourites:
Not only were these all quick (and/or short), but they were all excellent reads. Entertaining or interesting or enlightening – sometimes more than one at once. I’d recommend all of them!
What about you guys? Which short or fast books are your favourites? Have you read any of these? Do you want to read any of them?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.
The Uncommon Reader and Book Love are both amazing reads. Happy reading. My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/top-10-short-books/
Yes! The Uncommon Reader will forever be one of my favourites!
Heartstopper is a fantastic series to read. I devoured each volume in a matter of hours.

Yes, I both love and hate how quickly they go!!
I read a Heartstopper book last year but it wasn’t the first book in the series so I wasn’t sure of the storyline. I just added Foster to my TBR. I must find out what everyone is talking about with Claire Keegan.
Ooooh, if you liked the style and characters, it’s definitely worth reading from the beginning. I liked how it captures a lot of different issues that teens are dealing with in an honest way, and that it has a diverse group of characters who defy stereotypes. And the relationships in it are just so lovely. There’s a TV show as well if you aren’t so into the books but like the story! This is the only Claire Keegan book I’ve read – I read it for the BookTube Prize – but I was surprised by how much it has stuck with me, despite being so small! Not easy reading, but very well done.
The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating sounds good.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Yes, I didn’t really know what to expect from it, but it’s a great book that really captures the experience of a debilitating long-term illness. And I certainly learned about snails!
Interesting list. I haven’t heard of any of these. But Book Love certainly looks interesting. I’ll have to add that one and a few others from here onto my TBR.
Oh, book love is such a wonderful little book that will reach right into any book lovers’ very heart! I adored it! Thanks for stopping by!
Borders looks interesting. Thanks for stopping by earlier.
It was a great read – very quiet story, but manages to capture the big picture of what colonization and its imposed borders have done to traditional territories. Thanks for coming by as well!
