TOP TEN TUESDAY | TYPOGRAPHIC BOOK COVERS

This is an interesting prompt, because it seems so simple at first, but when you really start to look for books with typographic covers (meaning covers that are mostly words), there is actually so much variation, and so many interesting ways that the words can be placed and used. So here are some I found, poooooossiby more than ten. You’ve been warned.

Okay, so I got a little carried away this week! It’s fine. Totally fine. What about you guys? Which books did you find this week? Are any of my picks on your list? Have you read any of them? Which is your all-time favourite typographic cover?

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week TTT has a different topic, and everyone who links up has to create a link of ten items that fit that topic. To see past and upcoming topics, go here.

I also found it hard to limit myself this week, so I decided to write about just one designer for an artificial constraint. So many of these are gorgeous. I love The Anthropocene Reviewed cover–the typography combined with the color choices really works for me. I’m currently reading that one too, so it’s been on my mind. I love the premise of the book and the way it organizes essays. Thanks for sharing all of these!

Oooh that is such a cool idea! I read that one last year and it was a really interesting premise. I relate to a lot of how Green thinks, so I found it interesting to read non-fiction from him! I hope you’re enjoying it and thanks for stopping by!

I never stick to books I’ve read for these lists as I’d almost never have ANY books to add – let alone ten – but I have actually read all of seven of the books on the list this week and half of another two, so I’m better than usual this time!

Thank you! The 1619 Project was one of my favourite books of the year – definitely one I’d recommend! I haven’t finished I Hate Men yet, but it’s really short so definitely worth giving it a try! I hope you have a great week too!
