WEDNESDAY BLOGGING CHALLENGE | BEST GIFTS FOR BOOK LOVERS

Well, the obvious answer here is a gift card for a bookstore, because that is all a booklover EVER wants, really. But there are book-adjacent things that we are also pretty fond of!

  1. Blankets

There is really nothing better than curling up under a soft, fuzzy, warm blanket to read your book. We need lots of them, preferably at least one in every reading spot in the house!

  1. Tea/hot chocolate

We love a warm drink, particularly on a cold day. It’s lovely to be cosy and sipping on a delicious warm drink while reading, especially if it’s a yucky day outside!

  1. Cosy socks

I don’t know about you guys, but my feet are ALWAYS cold. I am never without my slippers these days, but warm socks are also a must!

  1. Chocolate

Because yum.

  1. Candles

I don’t use these much myself because I’m sensitive to scents, but I have had a few throughout the years that I really enjoyed!

  1. Bookmarks

Inevitably I’ll lose or misplace the nice ones and use a random granola bar wrapper/receipt/old post-it note/my cat’s tail, but I still do appreciate great bookmarks for the one or two books I know where they are!

  1. Cosy pyjamas

I love wearing clothes that make me feel like I’m being cuddled. I have a few sweaters with really soft linings that I adore, and fleece pyjama bottoms are a major theme here during the winter!

What about you guys? What are some of your favourite non-book presents that you can use while reading?

I love the cozy blankets and socks idea while reading, especially if it’s a book that I can’t put down. I also go for the pupper in the blanket with me as an added heating element. 🙂

I actually rarely sit down with a book and a cup of tea, because I’m always worried about spilling it, or I end up forgetting the tea until it is stone cold! It feels like the perfect book companion, though.
