I’ve been working on this post for weeks. Trying to take note of anything funny or interesting that I’ve looked up, or anything even remotely not boring. I’ve got nothing. Most of what I Google is how to plant different seeds, where different plants want to live, phone numbers for doctors or dentists in my area, summer camps for my kid, and books. The only vaguely interesting thing I’ve looked up lately is members of my family in an attempt to trace my family history. I didn’t get very far. Looks like we’re British Isles, pretty much as far back as I can trace! No surprises there. That’s it for me, really. I’m sorry guys, I’m failing this one!
What about you guys? Has anyone Googled anything even vaguely intriguing lately? Anything I should look up for fun?

I traced my family tree back to the early 1700sa gew years ago. It’s an interesting but time-consuming project.
Wow! All my family are from the British Isles (with a small French and Scandanavial detour) so as I’m in North America, I don’t have access to records unless I pay for them. One of my relatives did a bit of her family tree, so I have that, and then I found a distant relative had put together a long bit of family history as related to his branch (back to the 1400s, if it’s correct!), but though this gives names, dates and locations, that’s it. I’d love to see census data that would show occupations and families. I’d love even more to be able to afford a genealogist who could look through other types of records and see if there was anything more textured about any of their lives! But I do assume it’s a costly and extremely time consuming endeavour, so I think I’ll likely just stick to what I know!
