I’m guessing this prompt was thought up either before we entered the pandemic, or in a wild fit of optimism. For me, quite frankly, the answer to this is: any vacation. ANYTHING. Anything that would mean time off from worrying, the ability to sleep for days, eat what I want and not have to try and entertain a very bored and socially deprived kiddo 24/7. I WOULD TAKE ANYTHING.
But that’s not a very exciting answer, so I’ll try to come up with something more interesting. I think my number one fantasy place to visit would be Italy – or, more specifically, Tuscany. I want to explore the beautiful countryside, smell the air, taste the food, hear the melodic language… it just sounds wonderful to me. I don’t know if I’ll ever get to go, but if I could choose one place to visit that I’ve never been before, this would be it.
I mean, just look at that. Who wouldn’t want to be there? What about you guys? Have you ever been to Italy? Where would you like to go if you could go anywhere?

Those are heavenly images! And add in the food and the historical attractions, Italy is an amazing choice. 🤩
Ugh, I wish I could go right now!
I love Italy, but have never tried Tuscany, so I’d give it a shot.
I’ve never been to Italy at all, so I’d happily try any of it!
“Anywhere” works for me right now, too! But those pix are gorgeous and Tuscany is an amazing choice.
Right? Ugh, I wish I could beam myself there.
Hey, right now, any vacation is a great thing for a lot of us. I’m with you.
Not likely for me anytime soon, but a girl can dream, right? Hope you get at least a staycation this summer!
Tuscany has been on my list for years. Have you seen and/or read Under the Tuscan Sun? So good!
Both! It was the first travel book I read (leading to a lifelong obsession with the genre) and a favourite.
HAH! I hear that. I’d love to just get out of this state I’m stuck in. But those photos are amazing – makes me want to visit as well.
My post
It’s more I’d just like a break, you know? Doesn’t have to be a trip, or even anything exciting. Just a break.
Tuscany seems like it would be such a beautiful place to visit!
