WEDNESDAY BLOGGING CHALLENGE | SOMETHING SCI-FI I WISH WERE REAL

Those of you who have been around for a while will know that I don’t generally read sci-fi. So I have a limited frame of reference for this question, and some of the things I can think of are sort of like maybe they’d be cool or maybe they’d be a terrible idea. Like the Oasis from Ready Player One or the improbability drive from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Many more are definite not (pretty much anything from The Hunger Games except…. wait no. The dome would be really useful during forest fires). So my answer is anything that heals illness or injury. I think there was something in some sci-fi movie or show I watched where there was a machine that you could climb into and it would repair your body. I don’t remember which one – if you do throw it down in the comments and let me know – but that is definitely #1 on my list of things I’d like. Also food replacement pills. I mean there’s food I like, but never anything healthy. So if I could just take pills that were nutritionally perfect and then not have the temptation of over-eating or taking the lazy route and eating packaged food when I’m busy…. totally something I’d love to have the option of.

What about you guys? Which sci-fi inventions would you like to try out or play with or utilize? Any you absolutely DON’T want?
