So here’s the thing. I like Halloween well enough, aside from the fact that I can’t do scary or horror, like, at all. But I don’t do costumes. I hate them. They’re fine on other people, but I am not a fan of wearing them. I did a few when I was a kid – my mom taught ESL and had friends from all over the world, so I remember dressing up in a sari when I was like four. That was probably the most dramatic one. I was also a fairy, I think. As an adult I did one costume that consisted of random clothes from the back of my closet and a blue wig I got from Value Village, but that was mostly just so I could go clubbing. I think my main problems are that I am not good at coming up with ideas, and I’m even worse at figuring out how to implement them. I also hate uncomfortable clothing, and let’s face it, most costumes are not the height of comfyness.
What about you guys? Anyone out there who’s more into it than I am? Creative types? What’s your most epic costume ever, and also the most spectacular idea you have but haven’t managed to pull off?

Comfort is so important, especially if you’re going to be in your costume for a long time.
Fully agree!
Did you have fun clubbing?
Yes, but it would have been more fun without the fake eyelashes! lol
I’m with you on the need for costumes to be comfortable; that’s one of the reasons that I don’t wear store-bought costumes.
Yes. Sensory issues! I hate that they’re always cheaply made so have scratchy seems and mis-matched velcro etc. Terrible!
