HAHA nope. Not even a tiny chance. For so many reasons, but if I had to bring it down to basics, I don’t like small spaces and generally space travel is quite a cramped affair. I also don’t love wide open spaces… so you know, it hits on both. I also quite like this planet, with all its faults and nutso people and imminent implosion. I still hold out a tiny sliver of hope that we can save it, or at least not entirely destroy it. I think Earth is a wonderful place, in large part because it’s teeming with life. Mars seems like such a barren wasteland, one where you couldn’t grow things outside or create any kind of natural landscape. I hate the idea of trying to live a pod or biome life, and I also don’t do well when I’m stuck in confined situations with people – neurodivergent here. I like things how I like them, which rarely gels with how everyone else likes to do things. And I don’t love the idea, assuming we even managed to survive, of being in a small colony of surviving humans completely separate from Earth and, presumably, never going back. That’s a lot of pressure. I don’t have a ton of skills that would come in handy on a Mars settlement either – unless there’s suddenly an urgent need for knitted goods or banana chocolate chip coconut pancakes. Would there even be chocolate on Mars? OMG there’s a terrifying thought. Yeah, no thanks, I’ll stay with the burning world that has the chocolate, thanks.
What about you guys? I figure a lot of you will probably be much more adventurous than I am, and possibly even excited by the prospect of a space adventure. What are your thoughts on the matter? (Bonus points if you can work space cowboys into the mix somehow.)

I, too, would not go. I never even thought about the fact that it might mean giving up chocolate but I did mention missing people, and convenience – like stores, food, and the internet.
Yeah, altogether it just seems like a stressful situation to me! I’ll stick with our doomed home planet, methinks!
Space travel is for the adventurous and those not right in the head. We have to make this planet habitable for all.
HAHAHAHAHA! Couldn’t have said it better myself!
I also will take a pass on this one. I actually would love to move to another planet, but only with the amenities that I already have here on earth.
And pets. I always have pets, usually cats, so I would also need pets.
Fully agreed.
