WWW WEDNESDAY | #41

It’s time for this week’s WWW Wednesdays, hosted by Should Be Reading blog (head over and check them out!).

This link up asks three questions

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll be reading next?

Here are my WWW answers!

What did I recently finish reading?

Never Say Never - Alison TylerSo, Anyway... - John Cleese

You can find out what I thought of these here (for Never Say Never) and here (for So Anyway…).

What am I currently reading?

Newjack - Ted Conover

This book is so good, you guys. It is thorough, interesting, and a heartbreaking look into both the US penal system, and the social context that causes many to end up there.

What do I think I’ll be reading next?

The Strange Library - Haruki Murakami       Bel Canto - Ann Patchett

I am really looking forward to The Strange Library, which will be my first Murakami book. I’m also excited to give Bel Canto a try after having heard fantastic things about it!

What have you guys been reading lately? Got any good seasonal books in the TBR? Share in the comments!

I completely get it! I spent most of last year reading nearly exclusively YA books, and I've been slowly inching my way back into “adult” reading this year, starting with lighter reads. I haven't read any of Patchett's novels yet, but I started her book of articles/essays – This Is the Story of A Happy Marriage. I only read the first couple, but I liked her writing style and felt like I'd get on with her. So I figure I'll give her a shot! We'll see how it goes…

Very interested to hear your thoughts on BEL CANTO. I started it and loved the beautiful language. But it was a really hard read so (unfortunately) I gave up on it. I read so much YA fiction that I am used to faced paced, quick, easy reads. The more YA I read the harder it is for me to sit through an entire adult novel. Love you hear your thoughts!
